Jeremy Chung Photography started in 2007 when Jeremy took a trip to Hong Kong with his family. Proclaimed by many including Anthony Bourdain as a food mecca, Jeremy became enamored by food in Hong Kong, a city where dining is how people socialize and deeply understand one’s roots. In the following years, he worked at a handful of food tech startups in San Francisco, California and started this brand, Jeremy Chung Photography in 2012, as well as Dish Crawl in 2016, which serves as a consulting agency for restaurants in San Francisco. Featured in SFGate, San Francisco Chronicle, and San Francisco Magazine, Jeremy started the Food Photography Workshops of San Francisco Bay Area. Today, he has worked closely with many of the top purveyors of food, beverage, and culture.
Food Photography for Restaurants, Food Brands, Food Events, & Food Startups
Food photoshoots start at a base of $125 per hour + $25 per post-processed proof (base of 9 proofs) with one revision cycle included. For full details about the pricing structure, contact me below. My work as a food photographer as extends beyond San Francisco. If you are situated in Los Angeles, San Diego, Hawaii, New York City, or any major city within 7 hours of San Francisco, I may be able to accommodate you. Your success as a restaurateur is important to me, and your satisfaction of my work is even more so, as the work represents my brand as well as yours.
1) We chat over coffee to understand your brand and creative needs. A contract is signed. A deal is in place.
2) We develop a shot list together.
3) I execute the photoshoot.
4) I work at a local cafe for the whole day retouching photos via Lightroom. Photos are delivered within 5 business days.
5) You provide feedback. I provide one revision cycle.
I use state-of-the-art equipment from Canon, Olympus, and DJI. For food and product photography, I use a variety of macro lenses and flashes. For event photography, I use a variety of prime and telephoto lenses. For aerials, I use a DJI Mavic Pro to capture the scene from above.
Consulting for Restaurants
Since 2016, I have been the principal at Dish Crawl Co, which is a food and beverage consulting agency. Our core offerings include concept development, social media strategy, branding, food photography, and consulting. As of September 2018, consulting rates begin at $1k per 2 weeks.
Coaching for Aspiring Food Photographers
Throughout my journey as a food photographer, I am thankful to have had the support and mentorship from many. My way of paying it forward involves coaching others how to land deals with top brands in San Francisco and beyond.
